Background of the Study
The Federal Character Principle is designed to ensure fairness and inclusivity in Nigeria’s governance by promoting ethnic and regional balance in appointments to public offices (Aliyu & Musa, 2023). In Bida LGA, Niger State, the application of this principle in public service appointments has been a key focus for promoting equitable governance.
